(6) 夸父不量力，欲追日影，逐之于隅谷之際。Overrating his own ability, the legendary giant Kua Fu wanted to catch up with the sun. He followed the sun to its setting place at a valley far away.（增加The legendary giant能使譯文的背景知識更清楚。）

為了使譯文優(yōu)美自如、活潑生動(dòng)或是得到強調，有時(shí)有必要重復某些詞語(yǔ)或是增加適當的描述詞、語(yǔ)氣助詞、重疊詞、承上啟下的詞、概括詞。例如：
